Matt Tremont Proclaims He Is Never Retiring

d14-2

The Combat Zone King who mentioned he was retiring at CZW’s Tangled Web 7 and then pulled a big swerve on us by not retiring at all. Then suddenly challenged the King of Ultraviolence Nick Gage.

Tremont’s non-retirement was recently confirmed on Twitter after he  tweeted the following:

There is tons of questions that do remain. When will this fight go down? And will Tremont hold off on wrestling for CZW until he is able to fight Nick Gage?

As someone who’s watched Tremont perform live it’s a incredible thing to watch. Yes, he wrestles in hardcore themed matches but he does it in a fashion of honor. If even the words honor and hardcore can be put together.

Are you a fan of Matt Tremont’s type of wrestling? Do you think the whole hardcore, ultra violent matches are uncalled for? Do they still serve it’s purpose in today’s day in age?

The New CZW Champion Is….

This is Sozio. He defeated Biff Busick at CZW’s Tangled Web 7 to become the CZW Heavyweight Champion. After Busick had defeated Chris Dickinson. The two will have a rematch on 11/1/2014 at Cerebral in NYC in a No Rope Barbed Wire match.

For Sozio this is his first run at being the CZW Heavyweight Champion. He’s previously been CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion as well as one half of the CZW Tag Team Champion with Derek Frazier.

Will Sozio be able to retain the title when he meets Busick again at Cerebral in NYC? Or will Busick recapture the gold?

Combat Zone Wrestling’s Heavyweight Champion Biff Busick once again proved he is a dominate force in the world of professional wrestling. As he jumped the pond to wrestle six matches for Southside Wrestling Entertainment putting up his title and proudly retaining it.

One half of Biff and Ted’s Excellent Podcast successfully defending his CZW Heavyweight championship in 5 of the 6 matches, the 6th of which was a non-title match. He battled the likes of Martin Kirby, Stixx, El Ligro and Pete Dunne. Kirby and Ligro he wrestled twice.

According to Busick’s twitter account he listed El Ligro his toughest opponent to date. The 29 year old El Ligro who is currently the GPW British Champion, NGW Heavyweight Champion, PBW Heavyweight Champion and one half of the Infinite Promotions Tag Team Champion.

For the entire month of October the Star Destroyer Busick, has lived in Europe. Previously to this 5 day stint with SWE he was with the World Triangle League where he put on a 20 minute time limit draw match with Drew Gulak. Then went on to defeat Axel Tischer and Kazuki Hashimoto in one one one matches. Then in his final night he defeated Karsten Beck and Rich Swann in a three way match.

Busick is one of the top guys on the independent wrestling scene and continues to showcase it every weekend whether it be in Europe or somewhere in America. Proving that week in and week out with a seem of ease nearly seen by others. While Busick isn’t flashy with hand gestures or sayings. He gives pro wrestling fans something to enjoy and honor.

Don’t forget to vote Busick in Indy Power Rankings number one ranking for this week.
