At New Japan Professional Wrestling’s King Of Pro-Wrestling event Killer Elite Squad defeated Tencozy t0 become the NWA Tag Team Champions! This marks the second time the duo has held the Tag Titles and the first time since 2004.
The Killer Elite Squad is comprised of Davey Boy Smith Jr and Lance Archer. Smith Jr. is the son of The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith and has spent time in WWE and in 2010 was ranked number 69 in the PWI #500. As Lance Archer is most known for his stint in TNA as Lance Hoyt and WWE’s ECW as Vance Archer.
The Killer Elite Squad are members of the Suzukigun, which is the heel group in NJPW. Consisting of it’s leader Minoru Suzuki and the members of Black Tiger, El Desperado, Masayuki Kono, Shelton Benjamin, Taichi, Taka Michinoku, Takashi Izuka.
As for Tencozy they are comprised of Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima. They’ve held the IWGP Tag Team Championship for 5 times and their longest reign of 430 days.
